KSN are proud to support:

Time to get Kent running
Time to get Kent running

Are you a regular runner and have the passion to encourage others to do the same? Then become a Running Group Leader and set up your own beginner running group in Kent.

The Kent Running Project is funded by Sport England until April 2013. The aim of the project is to grow the informal running market for beginners in Kent.

Working in partnership with Run England, Kent Sport Leisure & Olympics is looking to recruit and support 50 Running Group Leaders throughout Kent to help and encourage more people to run, and to run more often, in 2012.

Whatever their age, fitness level, aspiration, background, or location, the Kent Running Project believes anyone can be part of Kent’s running community.   To qualify as a Group Leader, applicants must be a regular runner and be prepared to complete a one day Leadership in Running Fitness course.

There are a number of these courses organised by Run England at various locations throughout Kent.

On completion of the course, the Group Leaders will receive a coaching licence and public liabililty insurance from England Athletics. In return for their time and commitment, the Leaders will also receive a full refund on the cost of the Leadership course from Kent Sport plus ongoing support to help promote their group locally; further training; marketing resources; free session plans; a high visibility vest and first aid kit.

The next course is at:

Maidstone Leisure Centre – Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 7RN 14th April 2012
